I was blind now I can see


Ian Tait over at the brilliant Crackunit.com has written a very articulate and long (in a good way) article about the concept of the 'next big thing'...

It is coming from the side of an advertising man, but, elements of his diatribe can be associated with the realm of any company creating content online.

The section about hiring Digital Natives really struck a chord. In essence, digital companies need to take note of their workforce and exploit/hire talents above and beyond their job titles.

Sometimes, the best ideas and solutions don't even get a chance because the wrong people are in a meeting room. The wrong people are driving strategies and the wrong people pulling the above together.

We need the best men, not the yes men.

With that in mind, that leads me to look at how that could happen.. but thats another story kids. It's past my bedtime

I also recommend you read the comments after the post (often a goldmine of further wisdom). The sort of people posting here are in the mix when it comes to the vanguard. I even used to work with a couple of them...
